While I have been utilizing Brain Wave Entrainment (BWE) audio files for several years with no ill effects, everyone is different... so what works for one may not work the same for others. I have personaly tested and used each of these files I created and they do what the technology suggested they would do...FOR ME. There are several articles you may find of interest in this directory. Also, do a web search on Brain Wave Entrainment. Facinating stuff You should wear comfortable headphones when utilizing these audio files if you would like the biggest impact. They can be used with regular stereo speakers as the entrainment beats are IsoChronic (do a web search. fun reading) in nature: (also some files will have the word "Beats" in the tittle. This indicates the file only contains the entrainment tones/beats. I use these by playing the mp3 file in say iTune player on my PC then play a favorite CD in my WinAmp or WinMedia players on my PC) On the names of audio files; Jolt files are 10 minute sessions set to 18hz and act to stimulate the brain into a BETA state. Alert and focused. Use the Jolt and Joltx2 files with eyes open and your mind active. Joltx2 are 21 minute sessions that begin at 18hz for 10 min and jump to 22hz for the next 10. This really kicks the brain into alert mode. BUT, don't use this more than one time in the morning and once in the afternoon or you might become somewhat agitated. (I've only read this can happen, I never had any such episodes). PMSR (PMS Relief) These are nice soothing sounds that have short periods of THETA ramping to mid ALPHA ranges that has been shown to induce increase blood flow in the brain. You may enjoy reading the article on PMS and also the one on SAD as they are similar in research. You will find two lengths. 25min and 60min sessions. Try both. You may even find yourself nodding off during the 60 minute session, that's ok too! PowerNap are soothing 21 minute sessions in the low ALPHA range that should leave you feeling refreshed and ready to plug into life again : ) Various contains some experiments from sleep induction (i luv these if i have time for a nice long nap!) OR crazy stuff like altered states while meditating. Enjoy, Thom
